Get Started

Something like this:

#! /bin/bash

sudo apt-get install ruby-full build-essential zlib1g-dev

echo '# Install Ruby Gems to ~/gems' >> ~/.bashrc
echo 'export GEM_HOME="$HOME/gems"' >> ~/.bashrc
echo 'export PATH="$HOME/gems/bin:$PATH"' >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc

And then maybe:

gem install jekyll bundler

mkdir Source && cd Source/
jekyll new myblog
cd myblog/
bundle add webrick

Strategy A

bundle exec jekyll serve –port 30025

Strategy B

bundle exec jekyll build
cd _site
StartPythonWebServer

Strategy C (nginx)

bundle install
bundle exec jekyll build
sudo cp -r _site/* /var/www/html/.

See also the nginx install document.
